THE COMEBACK

That's right. Joc and I now have the internet. Hopefully, I will keep up with updates now- to reestablish some sort of connection with the rest of the world (or at least with some of those not located on this mountaintop). Anyhow, just letting you know... all two of you. Be blessed.

aloha. i've had a long break from entry writing. i'm going to keep it brief.
so jocelyn and i are getting ready to move [to the white mountains]. it's exciting and hard at the same time. i've never been through anything like this. at the moment, we are homeless and all our stuff is at various places. i've felt strange feelings and been in some weird moods, but i realized i just gotta let go. this life is God's and i have to remind myself that. i'm just kinda along for the ride right now and i'm trying to be ready for what's next. God has been answering prayers left and right for us. He's been directing us, revealing his perfect timing (which isn't always easy), and providing us with our needs. i'd love your continued prayers for this journey we are embarking on. i can't begin to tell everyone how much they have impacted me over the years. without making this sound like a goodbye (because it's not forever!), i just want you all, my friends, to know how much you mean to me and how thankful and appreciative i am to God for allowing me to share my life with you. you have undoubtedly contributed to the molding God has done in my life to make me who i am.
i'm going to leave it at that for now. it'll probably be a while till we have internet. in good time, we will have it and i'll pay my xanga some homage once again.

Oi!

california was awesome... the beach, road maps and driving, disneyland, friends and family, cold nights, a speeding ticket (whoops), time with the wife, time with the Lord, more of the beach, puppies, little tokyo, conversations, long walks on the beach, eight hours of sleep a night, time to reflect and pray. it was indeed refreshing. yet, so is being home.

i'm going to try the one year bible again. God is definitly telling me to, so i intend on not fighting it.

pray for my dad's recovery. he just had his second hip replaced. hopefully he will be able to hip and hop around soon, if his rehabilitation goes smoothly.

this picture of my madre and i makes me laugh every time i see it.

music is so awesome and amazing. i wish i saw it used more often as a tool to spread the gospel sincerely and purely.

pray for a focus that keeps us fixated on Christ and only him and his purpose and plan for our lives.

ROCK.

cornelius just released his second new single, updated his website (including another video) and is less than a month away from releasing his full length. i can't wait.

my wife and i will be traveling to california for her week off of student teaching. (october 9-15)

the college retreat is november 3-5. the car wash is saturday.

tony jaa is the man.

HELLO! it's been a while.
married life is great. it's different, but i think i'm finally beginning to understand the way things work.

hey ya'll. greetings from california.
Well, I don't know where to start. Jocey and I are at my Uncle Mark and Aunt Rohini's house in Encino right now. We've been having an amazing Honeymoon. Laguna was rad. The waves were unbelieveable. Jocey's grandma's house in Camarillo was great. Everything we have done has been a blast (besides almost getting the car towed and the parking ticket). I've taken thousands of pictures. We've caught up on lack of sleep over the past few years. We are just having an incredible time with eachother, friends, family, and the Lord. We miss everyone back home too! Seriously, this is like the vacations of all vacations. We are milking it for all it's worth. Here is a quick summary of our Honeymoon: (i'll probably forget some stuff)
Wedding Night - Went to La Paloma and stayed in a Honeymoon suite. So rad. ... In the morning we ate a huge breakfast, then went home. Went through gifts, cleaned the house, said goodbye to family, packed and slept.
In the Morning we drove to Laguna Beach. We were there for several days. Our Bed and Breakfast was so awesome. Dang good breakfast. We went to the beach, bodysurfed, slept, read, walked up and down the strip, went shopping, ate at good restaraunts, took tons of pictures, watched [Jackie chan movies], and relaxed.
We checked out of our BandB and went to Sea World. We saw tons of awesome animals, pet the dolphins and sting rays, etc etc etc.
Then we drove up to Camarillo and stayed at Jocey's Grandma's house. We relaxed a lot there and ate until we burst. Highlights in Camarillo were going to the beach with Jocey's cousin Michael and stopping for good pizza, driving down to L.A. one night to see Phil Wickham play at a Chinese Baptist church (which turned out to be free...so good, we were like the only white people besides Phil and the band!), skating to Calvary Chapel Camarillo, sleeping in, hanging out with Grandma Toni and Auntie Liz, going out for ice cream with Kevin and Susie Hekeondorf, and watching [Jackie chan] movies.
Then we headed back down towards L.A. to stay with my Aunt and Uncle in Encino. They are awesome and spoil us by taking us out to dinner almost everynight. Not to mention, there house is amazing and they have an awesome view of the valley. The first day Jocey and I went to Universal Studios which was a blast. Yesterday, we went shopping and ended up parking where we shouldn't have and just caught the tow guy before he took the car away. By God's grace this guy showed us mercy and let us keep the car. However, we still had to pay for his services and the parking ticket. Besides that, we've been sleeping in, swimming, reading, skating, eating until we burst, and watching the Japanese/Chinese (not sure which) channel.
Tomorrow we are heading to Anaheim to stay at a Hotel that Olivia and Travis got for us, then we will stay with Olivia a few more nights. Hopefully we are going to hang out with Lucas on Sunday and go to the Long Beach Aquarium, then for the fourth of July we are going into Redlands (where Travis lives) for a celebration! We thought we were coming back the 5th, but it turns out we are going to go to Disneyland on the 5th, and then see Belle and Sabastian and the Shins at the Hollywood Bowl on the 6th. We will head home on Friday, the 7th.
Anyways. I didn't mean to make that so detailed...but I just wanted to update you on everything we have been up to. If you read all that, I am sorry... but I commend you. We are both getting a little homesick and are excited to be back with all of you soon. This of course is all like a dream vacation, and we are getting a little anxious to be back living in reality. I also wanted to say thanks for all your help with the wedding and everything. I hope no one felt like their hard work went unnoticed or unappreciated. Really, you all mean so much to us. We can't wait to get back and hang out with you all!
Well, Jocey is finishing getting ready and then we are going out to eat again with my Aunt and Uncle to some jazz place. I miss all of you, and I hope God is doing awesome things in each one of your lives. We are praying for you and please keep us in your prayers!!! I will leave you with a few recent pictures. (I don't know why the pics are different sizes...it wouldn't let me customize the width!?!?!)
